inDICEs is a new way to measure the impact of digital culture. Its goal is to empower cultural heritage professionals, policymakers and decision-makers in the Cultural and Creative Industries to fully understand the social and economic impact of digitisation in their sectors and address the need for innovative (re)use of cultural assets. The project is developing a Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) that enables institutions to assess their strategy and plan against several aspects of digital transformation. The tool proposes a novel approach for how CHIs can continuously gather data on their activities, adjust their strategies and increase their digital maturity. This data can be used by policymakers to implement more effective policies and support the sector with targeted capacity building.
This interactive workshop aims to open up the discussion on the role and potential of self-assessment for CHIs in relation to their impact strategy design, and collect CHIs’ needs and suggestions to help improve the SAT.
