ONLINE ONLY - ESACH – a case study of youth involvement and inclusion
This session can only be accessed online. As someone with an on-site ticket you can access this session using your own device and headset. Room A is available to use to join online sessions.
ESACH (European Students’ Association for Cultural Heritage) is a network “by young people for young people”. A peer-to-peer and volunteer-based organisation, ESACH is for students, young professionals, and heritage enthusiasts and counts on approximately 600 members inside its growing network.
Join this session as ESACH ambassadors Meetali Gupta and Sorina Neacsu review youth involvement and inclusion within the cultural heritage field. ESACH has been active in the field almost entirely on a remote and digital basis since its birth in 2017. You’ll hear how, while handling diverse needs and complicated times, the team focuses on priorities such as: civic engagement, collaboration and cooperation, no geopolitical boundaries, diversity of cultural expressions, sustainability, and technology-eased accessibility.
Sorina is a cultural manager active in the cultural heritage and NGOs fields. She acquired skills in museum education, cultural heritage, project management, youth/volunteer management & engagement and art history. Shown enthusiasm for writing and reporting on heritage related subjects. Keen on exploring the enhancement and dissemination of cultural heritage and dreams to foster a better understanding of heritage relevance in everyday life. She joined ESACH coordination committee in December 2020 for the European Heritage Youth Ambassadors Programme.
