Digital exhibitions provide an excellent opportunity to share the story of an exhibition beyond audiences that may usually visit your galleries in person. However, planning for a digital version of an exhibition can quickly move to building a representation of the physical galleries online, creating accessibility barriers, and requiring high-speed internet, specialist hardware and software.
This talk will demonstrate three examples of online exhibition systems, created by Cogapp, that swerve the skeuomorphic and embrace the 2D screen. All three focus on being immersive because of the power of the content and the synergistic connections within it.
Join and learn more about these three exciting projects:
- Shakespeare in the Royal Collection
- The University of Edinburgh’s digital exhibition system
- Glitch/Giselle: a critical and creative exploration of the Romantic ballet, Giselle.
