How to write a 100-year plan

The Flickr Foundation is being created to preserve and display the huge Flickr photography collection for generations to come. Part of the framing to establish the Foundation is the idea of a ‘100-year plan’. A document to guide priorities and decisions, and be maintained by the community of the Flickr Foundation for years to come.

The team behind the Foundation are running a series of workshops in different spaces with different audiences to discuss and develop what a plan with this long-term outlook should contain, and what it could exclude. They are exploring ideas around what a co-operative social structure around the Foundation could be like, what it should be responsible for, and how it would relate to the corporation which owns the codebase that runs Flickr and is responsible for its performance. There are a ton of questions to explore, and they would love to know what the Europeana community thinks!
